Srđan Baljak: Serbian Footballer and Striker

Srđan Baljak, a Serbian footballer, began his career with Teleoptik in 1998. He briefly joined Partizan in 1999 but only played one match before being loaned to Radnički Kragujevac. Despite 15 appearances, he failed to score for the club.

Breakthrough at Budućnost

After returning to Teleoptik in 2000, Baljak was loaned to Budućnost in 2002. He flourished there, scoring 20 goals in 21 matches. His impressive performance earned him a move to Consadole Sapporo in Japan.

Return to Budućnost and Superliga Success

After scoring three goals in 14 matches for Sapporo, Baljak returned to Budućnost. In 2006, the club merged with Proleter to form Banat, with Baljak continuing to play for the new entity. In the 2006-07 season, he became the Superliga's top scorer with 18 goals.

Bundesliga Stint

In June 2007, Baljak transferred to Mainz 05 in Germany's second division. He made 58 appearances and scored 17 goals for the club.

Captaincy at Duisburg

In January 2010, Baljak joined Duisburg. He scored on his debut against Frankfurt and became the club's captain.
