Biography of Stanley Stab Hubbard
Stanley Stab Hubbard, born in 1934 in the United States, is currently the chairman, CEO, and president of Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. He grew up on a farm on Santa Cruz River Island, where his mother was the daughter of the founder of a Lutheran church in Minneapolis, and his father was a well-known businessman who started radio broadcasting in the US in 1923. Stanley spent much of his childhood working for his father and developed a strong interest in radio equipment and television. When he turned fifteen, his father became the first person in the United States to own a color television.
Early Career and Rise to Presidency
In 1955, Stanley Stab Hubbard earned a bachelor's degree in humanities from the University of Minnesota while already working in his father's company. He decided early on that he would dedicate himself to the family business. From 1967 onwards, Stanley actively worked towards becoming the president of the company. In the early 1980s, Hubbard Senior handed over full control of the company to him. During this time, Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. was already utilizing satellite technologies extensively and became a leading satellite radio broadcasting company in the United States.
Achievements and Family Life
Stanley Stab Hubbard's company financed the installation of five new repeaters in 1991. He received numerous awards for his pioneering technologies in satellite television, including the "Minnesota Family Business" and "Silver Satellite" awards. In 1991, he was honored with the title of honorary developer of satellite technologies.
Stanley Hubbard is married and has five children, three of whom are executives in Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. His daughter, Carrie, manages a charitable family foundation that supports educational and healthcare institutions across the country. As of 2008, Stanley Stab Hubbard's estimated net worth was approximately $1.6 billion, placing him at 743rd on Forbes' list of the world's richest people.
