Biography of Stefanos Korkolis
Early Life and EducationStefanos Korkolis is a Greek singer and composer who is currently working with Russian singer Linda. He was born in Athens and started improvising on the piano at the age of four. At the age of five, he made his debut in front of an audience. He then went on to study at the Athens Conservatory. While still in school, he won first prize in the piano competition "Kaiti Papaioannou". After the conservatory, he studied composition at the "Ecole Normale" and received the first prize from the jury at the International Festival of Contemporary Dance "Val de Marne".
Music Career
In 1991, Korkolis presented his composition "Thalassa" at the opening of the European Swimming Championships. In the 90s, he showcased his talent not only as a singer in Greek but also collaborated with international orchestras such as the Prague Radio Orchestra, Sofia Radio Orchestra, and Amadeus Orchestra as a soloist and composer. Stefanos has participated in some of the world's biggest music festivals, recently performing at the Athens Concert Hall, the Concert Hall of Thessaloniki, the "Odeon Herodus Atticus" venue, the Prague Festival, the "Carre" Theater in Amsterdam, the Dresden Festival of Classical Music, Berlin, and other cities. He has also composed the anthem for the International Olympic Games.
Collaborations and Work for Television and Theater
In 2003, he embarked on a world tour with renowned Portuguese singer Dulce Pontes, serving as her regular accompanist. Stefanos Korkolis also writes music for television and theater. In November 2005, the musical spectacle "Don Quixote" with his music was staged by the National Theater of Greece. During this time, he continues his collaboration as a songwriter with various artists in Greece and abroad. In October 2006, he participated as a composer, arranger, and producer in the album "AleAda" by Russian singer Linda.
Personal Life
Since January 2012, Stefanos Korkolis has been the official husband of singer Linda. The fact of their marriage was confirmed by Linda herself in an interview with "Detstvo Radio" on February 25, 2012.
