Biography of Stepan Rostomyan

Stepan Rostomyan is a renowned Armenian composer who has made significant contributions to the world of music. He began his musical journey by graduating from the violin class at the R. Melikyan Music School. Later, in 1980, he pursued his studies in composition at the Yerevan State Conservatory.

Early Career

From 1980 to 1984, Rostomyan worked as a musical assistant for the Armenian State Academic Chapel. During this time, he showcased his talent and honed his skills as a composer. His dedication and passion for music led him to take on teaching positions at the Yerevan State Conservatory in 1989, where he imparted his knowledge of composition and instrumentation to aspiring musicians.

International Recognition

In 1989, Rostomyan was invited to the University of Glasgow in Scotland as a guest lecturer, where he shared his expertise with students. Additionally, in 2002, Rostomyan was one of the founders of the cultural radio station "VEM."
