Biography of Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie Marie McMahon-Levesque, better known by her maiden name McMahon, was born on September 24, 1976, in Hartford, Connecticut. She is the Executive Vice President of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the head of creative development and operations, a professional wrestling personality, and for a period of time, a wrestler herself. Stephanie is the daughter of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon, and she is also the younger sister of Shane McMahon and the wife of Paul Levesque, known by his ring name Triple H.

Early Life and Education

At the age of thirteen, Stephanie made her first appearance in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in one of their promotional catalogs, representing a series of t-shirts and hats. She later attended Boston University and graduated in 1998 with a degree in communications. After completing her education, she joined the WWF full-time.

Wrestling Career

Stephanie's regular appearances in wrestling performances began in 1999 as part of a storyline with The Undertaker. After a brief relationship with Test, she became involved with Triple H, whom she later married both on-screen and in real life. Her storyline with Triple H ended with their characters becoming a couple known as "McMahon-Helmsley." During her time in the company, Stephanie also won the WWF Women's Championship. In 2001, she became the on-screen owner of the Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) during the storyline "The Invasion." The following year, she became the general manager of the SmackDown brand but eventually stopped appearing on television after a farewell match with her father Vince McMahon. After a few rare appearances in the following years, Stephanie returned to the screens as the general manager of the Raw brand in 2008.

Personal Life

In July 2001, Stephanie underwent breast augmentation surgery. Her mother, Linda, initially had concerns about the potential health problems it could cause, but ultimately supported Stephanie's decision. Stephanie later admitted that she had considered having the procedure done again. In the same year, Stephanie was accused of orchestrating the release of Joanie "Chyna" Laurer, who had left WWF that year. Laurer had a romantic relationship with Paul Levesque, and she claimed that Stephanie had caused their breakup. Stephanie and Levesque began dating in 2000 during their scripted storyline and their relationship eventually turned into a real-life romance. They got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2003. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Aurora Rose Levesque, on July 24, 2006, and their second daughter, Murphy Claire Levesque, on July 24, 2008.

Outside of Wrestling

Stephanie McMahon has made appearances on various television shows outside of regular wrestling programs. She has been seen on "The Howard Stern Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," and "Opie and Anthony." In November 2001, Stephanie participated in a celebrity special episode of "The Weakest Link," where all contestants were famous WWF personalities. She made it to the final round but was defeated by her husband, Paul "Triple H" Levesque.
