Early Life

Steven Nedoroscik was born on October 28, 1998, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Cheryl and John Nedoroscik. His family has Slovakian roots, with his great-grandparents emigrating from Slovakia. Nedoroscik was named after his paternal grandfather, a US Navy veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War. He has two sisters.

Physical Challenges

Nedoroscik was born with coloboma and strabismus, which require him to wear glasses and have prevented him from obtaining a driver's license.

Education

Nedoroscik studied electromechanical engineering at Worcester Technical High School and participated in robotics automation. He went on to attend Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2020 with a degree in electrical engineering.

Competitive Career

International Debut

Nedoroscik made his international debut in 2015 at the Winter Cup, representing the U.S. Junior National Team.

World Championship and Pan American Games

In 2021, Nedoroscik made his senior debut on the U.S. team at the World Championships, where he won gold in the pommel horse event. At the 2023 Pan American Games, he helped the U.S. team win gold in the team all-around, but placed fifth in the pommel horse final.

Olympic Medals

In June 2024, Nedoroscik was selected to represent the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In Paris, he won bronze medals in both the pommel horse event and the team all-around.
