Steven R. McQueen

Steven R. McQueen is an American actor best known for his roles as Kyle Hunter on the television series "Everwood" and Jeremy Gilbert on "The Vampire Diaries."

Early Life and Family

McQueen was born into a family of renowned actors. He is the grandson of the legendary Steve McQueen, the son of Chad McQueen, and the stepson of former Canadian hockey player Luc Robitaille. He has two half-siblings from his father's side, Chase and Madison McQueen, and a half-brother from his mother's side, Jessarae Robitaille.

Despite his mother's initial reluctance for him to pursue an acting career, McQueen enrolled in acting classes at the age of 16.

Acting Career

In 2005, McQueen landed a small role in the television series "Threshold." This was followed by a recurring role in the drama "Everwood."

In 2007, McQueen starred in the short film "Club Soda," for which he won the "Best Actor" award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.

"The Vampire Diaries"

McQueen's breakout role came in 2009 when he was cast as Jeremy Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries." The series went on to become a global success, and McQueen's portrayal of the troubled teenage brother of the main characters gained him widespread acclaim.

Later Roles

After "The Vampire Diaries" concluded in 2017, McQueen continued to act in films and television series. Notable roles include Paul Woodruf in "Chicago Fire" and Nate West in "Legacies."
