Biography of Taissa Farmiga
Early life and careerTaissa Farmiga is an American film and television actress. She was born in Clifton, New Jersey and grew up in New Jersey. Taissa is the youngest of seven children of Ukrainian immigrants Mykhailo and Luba Farmiga. Her father works as a systems analyst and her mother is a school teacher. Taissa is fluent in English, Ukrainian, and has studied sign language for three years.
Acting career
Initially, Taissa had no plans to pursue a career in acting. However, her sister Vera Farmiga, who always dreamed of becoming an actress and has achieved great success in the industry, convinced her to give it a try. Taissa made her acting debut in her sister's directorial debut, the film "Higher Ground". The film received positive reviews and was well-received at the Sundance Film Festival. This experience made Taissa realize her passion for acting and she decided to continue pursuing it.
American Horror Story and other projects
In May 2011, Taissa landed the role of Violet Harmon in the television series "American Horror Story".
