Tamara Braun, an American actress, was born on April 18, 1971, in Evanston, Illinois, USA. She attended Evanston Township High School and studied psychology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Braun also took summer Shakespeare courses at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England before embarking on a tour of Europe.

Braun gained recognition for her role in the American soap opera "General Hospital" on ABC from 2001 to 2005. Her performance earned her a nomination for the Emmy Awards in 2004. Currently, she portrays the character of Ava Vitali in the series "Days of Our Lives".

After "General Hospital", Braun secured a leading female role in the independent film "Little Chenier" shot in Louisiana in August 2005. She worked with a dialect coach to perfect her portrayal of a Louisiana native, Kajena. Additionally, Braun appeared as Rose, a pastry chef, in an episode of the ABC sitcom "Freddie", where both main characters developed romantic feelings for her.
