Early Life and Education
Oksana Zaporozhets, a renowned Ukrainian educational figure and teacher, was born on January 12, 1960. She attended Gymnasium No. 30 in Poltava before graduating with honors from Poltava State Pedagogical Institute in 1981.
Teaching Career
From 1980 to 2001, Zaporozhets taught Ukrainian language and literature at Educational and Training Complex No. 32 in Poltava. In 2001, she joined the faculty of Poltava City Lyceum No. 1 named after I.P. Kotlyarevsky, where she continues to teach Ukrainian language and literature to this day.
Awards and Recognition
Zaporozhets has received numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional contributions to education. In 2009, she was bestowed the title of Hero of Ukraine, along with the Order of Derzhava, for her unwavering dedication to developing national education and implementing innovative teaching methods.
Prior to this prestigious recognition, Zaporozhets was awarded the insignia "Honored Educator of Ukraine" in 1988, as well as commendations from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Poltava Regional State Administration in 1989.
Zaporozhets' teaching excellence was further acknowledged when she emerged victorious in the All-Ukrainian "Teacher of the Year" contest in 1996. She also received the I.P. Kotlyarevsky Regional Award for her significant contributions to promoting and strengthening the Ukrainian language in society.
