Biography of Tatiana Danilenko
Tatiana Danilenko is a Ukrainian television journalist. She was born on October 30, 1983, in Zhytomyr, Ukrainian SSR, into a family of Soviet Ukrainian writer Vladimir Danilenko and a Ukrainian language teacher. At the age of 16, she started publishing articles in the newspaper "Ukrainian Word". In 2001, her family moved to Kyiv, and she enrolled in the Journalism Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Early Career
In 2002, while in her second year of university, Danilenko began working as a correspondent for the program "Vikna-Stolitsia" on STB channel, where she remained until 2004. From the spring of 2004, she started working as a parliamentary correspondent on 5 Kanal. In 2006, she became the host of the program "Chas Novin" and in 2009, she started hosting the program "Chas: Pidsumky Tizhnia". In 2013, she began hosting the program "Chas: Pidsumky Dnia".
Guinness World Record
From August 23 to 25, 2011, Danilenko, together with Pavlo Kuzheev, hosted a telethon called "Ukrainian Independence" on 5 Kanal, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Ukraine's independence. The event lasted for 52 hours and earned her a place in the Guinness World Records and the Records of Ukraine as the host of the longest TV show in history.
Later Career
Since 2013, Danilenko has also been working for Hromadske.tv. From March 2018 to April 2020, she was a host on Radio NV. From March 2018 to June 2019, she hosted the program "Ihra z Ohniom" on ZIK channel. However, she left the channel after it was purchased by her business partner and political ally Viktor Medvedchuk's Taras Kozak, who had already acquired the channels 112 Ukraine and NewsOne in 2018. The new management of the channel did not repeat and did not upload her last program on YouTube, where the change of ZIK leadership was discussed.
On May 2, 2020, Danilenko, along with her former colleagues from ZIK, launched a YouTube channel called "Danilenko", dedicated to social and political topics. In 2011, Danilenko described Kaskiv's assistance to her daughter as "symbolic": "These are not the means the child lives on - eats, dresses. We are only connected by a certificate for Kristina to leave the country and her last name."
