Early Life and Education
Theodore Kulongoski was born in Missouri in 1940. His father died when he was four years old, and he was raised in Catholic schools. After graduating from high school, he joined the Marine Corps. With the help of the G.I. Bill, he earned a law degree from the University of Missouri.
