His mother, Celia Barbara, owned a lingerie store, while his father, Leonard Ronald Raimi, owned a hardware store. As a child, Ted's babysitter was actor Bruce Campbell. He attended the University of Michigan, New York University, and finally obtained his higher education at the University of Detroit.
