Telman Agayev: Azerbaijani Scientist and Academic Leader
Early Life and EducationTelman Agayev was born on October 10, 1935, in the village of Vagudu, Sisian region, Armenian SSR. He completed his studies at the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute, earning a degree in zootechnology.
Academic Career
After obtaining his degree, Agayev embarked on an illustrious academic career. He became a professor and held the prestigious position as the Director of the Institute of Physiology named after A. I. Garayev. His contributions to science were widely recognized, leading to his election as a Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (2001).
Scientific Contributions
Throughout his career, Agayev authored 205 published scientific works, demonstrating his profound expertise in the field of biology. His research primarily focused on the biochemical and physiological aspects of animals and humans. Additionally, he secured three author's certificates and patents for his groundbreaking inventions.
Teaching and Mentoring
Agayev's passion for education extended beyond his research endeavors. He enthusiastically shared his knowledge with students as a lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology at Baku State University and the Department of Biochemistry at Azerbaijan Medical University.
