Biography of Teresa Brewer

Teresa Brewer, an American jazz singer, was born in Ohio in 1931. She made her first radio performance at the age of two. Brewer rose to popularity in the 1950s, with her songs topping the American charts. She performed with jazz legends such as Duke Ellington and Count Basie, hosted a television show, and appeared in several films. Some of her most famous songs include "Dancin with Someone," "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall," "Ricochet," and "Let Me Go Lover."

In 1953, her song "Till I Waltz Again With You" sold 1.4 million copies. Brewer took a long hiatus from her career to focus on her family and returned to the stage in the 1970s. She was married twice, with her second husband being renowned jazz producer Bob Thiele. Teresa Brewer raised four daughters and had four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
