Biography of Terry J. Vaughn

Terry J. Vaughn, an American film and television actress, is best known for her role as Lovita Alizé Jenkins-Robinson, the wife of Cedric Robinson, in the American sitcom "The Steve Harvey Show" from 1997 to 2002. Vaughn is also known as Jonelle Abrahams, the girlfriend, wife, and ex-wife of Dirk Black, in the UPN sitcom "All of Us", which aired from 2003 to 2005.

Early Life and Career

Terry J. Vaughn was born on October 16, 1969, in San Francisco, California, USA. She began her acting career with a role as Connie in the sitcom "Married... with Children" and went on to appear in "Living Single" and "The Steve Harvey Show". She played Glison in the series "ER" and Tasha in the show "Girlfriends". Vaughn also starred alongside Whoopi Goldberg in the musical comedy "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit" as a student.

In 1995, Terry appeared in the comedy film "Friday" as Chyna. That same year, she appeared in the sci-fi action film "Black Scorpion" based on a comic book series, as well as in the drama "Deadly Games 2: Wall to Wall" directed by Jonathan Winfrey, where she played the role of Grace. In 1996, the actress portrayed Keisha in the crime comedy "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" and appeared in the sci-fi action film "Carnosaur 3: Primal Species".

The following year, Vaughn collaborated with director Tom Schulman in the crime comedy "8 Heads in a Duffel Bag" where she played a flight attendant. She also appeared in the second film of the Black Scorpion adventures, "Black Scorpion II: Aftershock". In 2000, the American actress starred in the short film "The Smoker".

In 2003, Vaughn played the role of Sharon Brown in the thriller film "Detonator" and in 2005, she portrayed Vanda in Michael Whaley's drama "Fair Game". She once again appeared in a short film, this time directed by Tamara Bass, titled "Exposure". In 2006, she acted alongside Jeff Bridges in the sports comedy film "Stick It", playing the character of Suzie McConnell. Vaughn portrayed Jackie in the comedy film "Dirty Laundry", working alongside Tess Harper, Jay Thomas, and John Driver.

In 2007, Terry appeared in the heartwarming film "Daddy's Little Girls", the comedy "Redrum", the musical "I Wanna Dance", and the romance film "Three Can Play That Game". In 2008, Vaughn was spotted on the set of the music video "Life, Love, Soul".

Besides her notable roles, Vaughn has also appeared in TV shows such as "The Sinbad Show", "Family Matters", and "Sherman Oaks".

Personal Life and Philanthropy

Terry J. Vaughn was previously married to Derrick Carolina and they have a son named D'orelle Ali, born in 2003. She is currently married to football player Karon Riley. On April 24, 2008, Vaughn gave birth to their first child together, a son named Kal'El Joseph Riley.

Vaughn is the founder of the non-profit organization "Take Wings Foundation", which provides scholarships, mentoring, and internship opportunities for young women living in public housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
