Biography of Terry Rosenthal

Terry Rosenthal, an American designer and fashion entrepreneur, is currently the co-founder and independent fashion designer at Karasan. Born and raised in Virginia, Terry developed a passion for fashion from a young age. This passion was further nurtured by her mother, who had a keen eye for fashion and a background in economics.

Her daughter, Cassandra, inherited her mother's love for fashion and, at the age of 18, proposed a joint project to Terry to create fashionable clothing that would appeal to women of all ages. Agreeing to the partnership, they established Karasan, which has become one of the most renowned fashion houses specializing in women's clothing.

Terry and Cassandra are known for their unique and distinctive designs. Despite not conforming to current fashion trends, their garments have gained international recognition and success. Each piece created under the Rosenthal brand is meticulously crafted by hand using the finest materials such as luxurious furs, pure wool, suede, and silk.

Karasan offers a wide range of clothing including dresses, sweaters, coats, jackets, evening suits, and gowns, all aimed at enhancing and complementing the natural beauty and sensuality of the wearer. Terry's other grandmother worked as a milliner. It is rumored that Terry was introduced to sewing and needlework at the age of five by her grandmother, and by eight, Cassandra was already designing her own outfits and unique costumes for her classmates.

Currently, Terry and Cassandra independently lead Karasan, having successfully graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Their clothing lines are distributed worldwide, with boutiques in prominent cities like New York, Chicago, Palm Desert, and Palm Beach.
