Early Life and Education
Terry Jones was born on February 1st, 1942, in Colwyn Bay, Wales, to a bank clerk and a housewife. He attended St. Edmund Hall College at Oxford.
Career in Comedy and Television
In 1965, Jones and his friend Michael Palin created "The Love Show" for television, followed by writing for other shows such as "The Kathy Kirby Show," "Late Night Line-Up," and "Complete and Utter History of Britain" (some co-written with Palin). However, Jones is best known for his work on the comedy show "Monty Python."
Personal Life
In 1970, Jones married Alison Telfer, with whom he had two children: Sally (born 1974) and Bill (born 1976). The marriage ended in 2003 after a scandal involving Jones' affair with a 19-year-old student named Anna Söderström. However, he and Alison Telfer remain legally married.
Health and Family Expansion
On October 21st, 2006, the Daily Mirror reported that Jones had been diagnosed with testicular cancer. Days later, the same publication announced that the tumor removal surgery had been successful. In the spring of 2009, it was reported that Jones' partner, Anna, was pregnant, making him a father for the third time.
