Early Career and Debut

Roponen made her debut in the Cross-Country World Cup in 1998. In March 2005, she claimed her first victory as part of the relay team, triumphing in Falun, Sweden. To date, she has secured three World Cup relay wins and one individual victory.

Olympic Journey

Roponen represented Finland at three Olympic Games. In Salt Lake City 2002, she finished 19th in the 15km mass start, 36th in the sprint, and 7th in the relay. At Turin 2006, she competed in four events, placing 13th in the 7.5+7.5km pursuit, 35th in the 10km classical, 7th in the relay, and 23rd in the 30km mass start. Her most notable Olympic performance came in Vancouver 2010, where she won a bronze medal in the relay. She also finished 6th in the 10km freestyle, 15th in the 7.5+7.5km pursuit, and 8th in the team sprint.

World Championships Dominance

Roponen has excelled at World Championships, amassing three gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. She has participated in five World Championships and consistently secured podium finishes.
