Biography of Thomas Keller

Thomas Keller is a famous German luger who achieved great success in the 1960s. He was a two-time Olympic champion and a three-time world champion, representing the GDR national team. Keller participated in two Winter Olympic Games, winning a gold medal in the men's singles event at the 1964 Innsbruck Games. He also secured gold in the doubles event and silver in the singles event at the 1968 Grenoble Games.


Throughout his career, Thomas Keller won a total of four medals in world championships. He earned three gold medals in the singles event in 1962 and 1967, as well as the doubles event in 1967. Additionally, he received a silver medal in the doubles event in 1965. Despite regularly competing in European Championships, Keller did not manage to secure any podium finishes.
