Andris Šics
Andris Šics is a Latvian luger who has achieved great success in the sport. He is a recipient of the Order of the Three Stars, Latvia's highest state honor.
Career Beginnings
Šics began competing professionally in doubles luge in 2003. He teams up with his brother Juris, forming a formidable duo in the sport.
Olympic Success
In 2010, Šics and his brother made history by winning the silver medal in doubles luge at the Vancouver Winter Olympics. They continued their success at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, earning two bronze medals, one in the doubles event and the other in the team relay.
