Early Career and FIS Competitions

Toma Mermillod-Blondin, born in France, began skiing at the young age of three at the Grand-Bornand Ski Club. He officially entered FIS competitions in 1999 and debuted in the North American Cup the same year. Mermillod-Blondin consistently placed among the top three in FIS races during the early years of his career.

World Cup and Olympic Debut

Mermillod-Blondin made his World Cup debut in 2007 at Adelboden, Switzerland, in the giant slalom but failed to qualify for the second run. In 2011, he achieved his first World Cup podium finish, placing third in the super combined event at Bansko, Bulgaria. He repeated this feat twice more, in 2012 at Sochi and 2013 at Kitzbühel, Austria. His highest overall World Cup ranking was 31st in the 2012/2013 season.

Olympic Appearances

Mermillod-Blondin participated in two Winter Olympics. At the 2010 Vancouver Games, he competed in the super combined (19th), slalom (21st), and giant slalom, which he did not finish. In 2014 at Sochi, he failed to complete the super combined and finished 15th in the super-G.
