Biography of Tico Torres
Tico Torres, born Hector Samuel Juan Torres on October 7, 1953, in New York, USA, is an American musician, drummer, and percussionist. He is best known as a member of the band Bon Jovi, as well as being a talented artist and producer.

Early Life and Musical Career
Tico grew up in Iselin, New Jersey, and attended John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. He developed a passion for music at a young age and began playing the guitar at the age of eleven. However, his career path took an unexpected turn when he discovered his talent for drumming by chance. Tico abandoned the guitar and became a drummer.

Throughout his career, Tico played in various bands, including Sweat, Phantom's Opera, Loose Change, Frankie And The Knockouts, and The Marvellettes. He also worked as a session musician, playing live concerts and recording studio albums for renowned artists such as Miles Davis, Pat Benatar, Chaka Berry, Cher, Alice Cooper, Stevie Nicks, and Joe Morello.
In addition, Tico collaborated with the band Pleasure Bombs and released a Latin jazz album with Gambi Ortez. He has participated in the recording of over twenty albums in total.
Joining Bon Jovi
One of the founders of Bon Jovi, Alec John Such, invited Tico to join the band. Initially skeptical, Tico eventually agreed after hearing the music of frontman Jon Bon Jovi and being inspired by his ideas. He has remained a member of Bon Jovi ever since.
Other Interests and Achievements
Tico Torres leads an incredibly diverse and fulfilling life. Apart from his musical pursuits, he is also involved in painting, golf, horseback riding, and piloting airplanes. He has even ventured into the world of fashion by creating a line of children's clothing called RockStarBaby.
He has produced albums for two bands, Trash 'n' Passion and The Rivals, and has composed soundtracks for films such as "The Royal Way And Man's Fate," "Running Wild," and "The Olive Tree."
Since 1994, Tico has showcased his artwork in galleries as a self-taught artist.
Personal Life
Tico Torres has been married three times. His first marriage to Sharon Torres ended before he joined Bon Jovi. His second marriage was with Czechoslovakian model Eva Herzigova, which lasted for only two years. In September 2001, Tico married Venezuelan model and beauty queen Maria Alejandra Marques. They have a son named Hector Alexander.
