Early Life and Career

Nemčić developed an interest in sports while observing her boyfriend's training sessions. She recalls, "I watched him play, how he played... and then I started playing myself, and it has remained a part of me ever since." However, in 2012, a knee injury forced her to temporarily retire from football. Nevertheless, she decided to transition into coaching and took up a position as the head coach of the male club "Viktorija Vojakovac" due to her educational background. Graduating from the University of Zagreb with a degree in Physical Education and Sports, Nemčić was considered suitable for the role.

Leading the Male Football Club

Currently, "Viktorija Vojakovac," competing in the fifth-tier Croatian league, holds the eighth position in the standings. Nemčić confidently asserts, "I am the head coach, and I have complete freedom to create and plan the team's tactics. If a woman and a man possess equal coaching skills, I see no reason why I shouldn't be involved in men's football." Tihomir Jagušić, one of the players in the club, praises Nemčić's dedication and seriousness during training sessions.

Taking on the role of a coach has presented Nemčić with new challenges and a different perspective compared to her time as a player. She admits, "It's a big challenge for me. I had some experience working with children, but not with men... When you are a player, you only worry about yourself and your personal performance. Now, as a coach, I have to think more about the players. But both roles have their advantages and disadvantages."

Avoiding Uncomfortable Situations

Nemčić has taken proactive measures to avoid any uncomfortable situations in the locker room. She explains, "We have a rule. The guys go in to change, and when they finish, one of them comes out and calls me. I never enter the locker room by myself to avoid putting myself in an awkward position."
