Till Lindemann, the vocalist of the band Rammstein, was born on January 4, 1963, in Leipzig, former German Democratic Republic. It was during this time in Schwerin that he met Richard Kruspe, the future guitarist of Rammstein. Richard suggested the idea of starting their own musical project, despite Till not considering himself a talented musician. However, Till spent two years training in Berlin with a German opera star to develop his voice. He learned diaphragmatic breathing techniques and performed physical exercises while singing. This training helped him achieve the desired vocal sound and the ability to hold his breath for extended periods, which would later be useful during Rammstein's pyrotechnic performances. Till and Richard were later joined by Oliver Riedel and Christoph Schneider, and in 1994, Rammstein was formed in Berlin. The band gained international fame with their debut album "Herzeleid." While most popular bands sing in English, Till insisted that Rammstein perform exclusively in German. However, the band has released English songs, including a cover of Depeche Mode's "Stripped."
