Biography of Timofey Kalachyov

Club Career

Timofey Kalachyov is a Belarusian footballer and midfielder for the club "Rostov", and a former player for the Belarusian national team. He was born in Mogilev, Belarus. Kalachyov began his club career in 2000 with the Mogilev team "Dnepr-Transmash". In 2003, he moved to the Soligorsk team "Shakhtyor" and had an excellent season, being named the best player in the Belarusian championship. In the same year, he transferred to the Ukrainian League, signing a five-year contract with Donetsk's "Shakhtyor". However, he failed to establish himself in the Donetsk team and mostly played for their second team. In 2004, Kalachyov began playing for the team "Ilichivets". In the 2005 season, he played in the Russian First League for "Khimki". In the 2006/07 season, he played for "Rostov". In January 2008, he joined "Krylia Sovetov" and spent two seasons there. Since January 28, 2010, he has been a player for the club "Rostov", where he became one of the key players. He had an excellent season in 2013/14, scoring 6 goals and helping the team secure a high seventh place in the championship, as well as winning the Russian Cup. In 2014, he received the "Yellow-Blue Heart" award from the FC Rostov fans.

International Career

Kalachyov played for the Belarusian youth team in the youth European Championship in Germany in 2004, marking the national team's debut in the tournament. He made his debut for the Belarusian national team on February 28, 2006, in a friendly match against Greece. In December 2016, he announced his retirement from the national team. Kalachyov played a total of 76 matches and scored 10 goals for the national team, making him one of the top five leaders in the history of the team in terms of number of matches played.
