Biography of Timur Kapadze

Timur Kapadze is an Uzbekistani football player, who plays as a midfielder. He has been a player and captain of Tashkent's "Lokomotiv" since 2015, as well as one of the players and vice-captains of the Uzbekistan national team. He is of Meshketian Turkish descent. His father, Takhir Veysalovich Kapadze, is a renowned football coach. Timur occasionally assists as a commentator in matches of the Uzbekistan national team. He started his professional career at Fergana's "Neftchi" in 1998. From 2002 to 2007, he played for Tashkent's "Pakhtakor". From 2008, he played for Tashkent's "Bunyodkor". For 10 consecutive years, he became the champion of Uzbekistan and during the same period, he won the country's cup 8 times. In 2011, he moved to "Incheon United" and then played for "Sharjah" from the Emirates for half a season. In the summer of 2012, he joined "Aktobe" and became the champion of Kazakhstan in 2013. In March 2014, he won the Kazakhstan Super Cup.
Since 2015, he has been playing for Tashkent's "Lokomotiv". In the national team, he has been playing since 2002. He has played the most matches in the history of the national team. As of January 2015, he has played 118 matches. He has participated in four final tournaments of the AFC Asian Cup. In 2004, he played 4 matches in the tournament, in 2007 - 4 matches and scored 2 goals, in 2011 - 6 matches and reached the semi-finals, in 2015 - two matches.
