Childhood and Club Career

Tobias Weis, a renowned German midfielder, started his football journey at the Bibersfeld youth academy before moving to the main school in Schwäbisch Hall in 1993. His exceptional talent caught the attention of Stuttgart's academy, the largest in the Baden-Württemberg region, where he enrolled at the age of 11.

Stuttgart Years

After completing the academy program in 2004, Weis joined Stuttgart's second team, where he spent three seasons, making 75 appearances and scoring 9 goals. His professional debut came on March 12, 2004, in a 1-1 draw against Augsburg in the third division. Weis entered the pitch as a substitute for Gustav Schulz in the 60th minute.

Transfer to Hoffenheim

In 2007, Hoffenheim, a rising force in German football, acquired Weis from Stuttgart. He made his debut for his new club on August 18, 2007, in a goalless draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the second division. Weis played as a starter until being replaced by Mirsad Mešić in the 53rd minute. Hoffenheim ultimately secured promotion to the Bundesliga that season, with Weis contributing 14 appearances and 1 goal.

Bundesliga Success and International Recognition

Weis' Bundesliga debut took place on August 16, 2009, against Energie Cottbus. Hoffenheim emerged victorious with a resounding 3-0 scoreline, thanks to the attacking prowess of Vedad Ibišević and Demba Ba. Weis started the match and played the full 90 minutes.

International Career

Weis received his first international call-up in late 2008 for a friendly against England but did not make an appearance. His national team debut came on June 2, 2009, in a 7-2 friendly win over the United Arab Emirates. Weis entered the match as a substitute for Thomas Hitzlsperger in the 66th minute.
