Todd McFarlane is a Canadian artist known for his popular comics and various artistic talents. He was born on March 16, 1961, in Calgary, Canada. As a teenager, McFarlane developed a passion for comics, particularly the unique artwork of Michael Golden and Katsuhiro Otomo. He attended William Aberhart High School before enrolling in Eastern Washington University in the early 1980s. At the university, he studied graphic arts and excelled in baseball until an ankle injury ended his athletic career.
