Gladys, A British Motorsport Prodigy

Debut in Formula BMW UK

In 2007, British racing driver Sam Gladdis made his debut in circuit racing, joining the Formula BMW UK series when a driver opted for education. Racing for Nexa Racing, Gladdis placed 14th in the season that would be the final year before the series merged with Formula BMW Europe. His best result was a 10th place finish at Snetterton.

Stints in ADAC Formula BMW and Asia

Gladdis also competed in Formula BMW ADAC for Team Zinner at Hockenheim, scoring eight points and placing 32nd overall and 16th in the rookie standings. Additionally, he raced in the Asian series with Ao's Racing Team, partnering with Sebastian Saavedra. He concluded the season with a 23rd-place finish in the World Final in Valencia with Master Motorsport.

Promising Star in Star Mazda

Following a test with Andersen Racing at the end of 2007, Gladdis signed for the Star Mazda Championship in 2008. He impressed, finishing sixth overall with three fastest laps, two pole positions, and a victory at Portland. He also placed second in the second race there and third at Mosport Park.

Transition to FIA Formula 2

In 2009, Gladdis made the step up to the revived FIA Formula 2 series, competing under the number 24. The season is ongoing.Gladdis has yet to score any points.
