Tom Parker-Bowles was born on 18 December 1974, in London, to Camilla Shand and Andrew Parker Bowles. His childhood was marked by his father's military career and the frequent visits of his godfather, Prince Charles. Despite his military upbringing, Tom did not follow in his father's footsteps, opting instead to pursue his literary passion.
