Job Ijabadeni, Cameroonian Footballer
Early Career and InvestigationsJob Ijabadeni, a Cameroonian football player, began his professional career in Italy with Sampdoria in the 2002-03 season. During his time at Sampdoria, Ijabadeni was involved in an investigation by the Italian Football Federation regarding alleged document falsification involving him, two other African players, and three club officials.
Loan Spells and Serie A Debut
After the investigation, Ijabadeni spent the 2002-03 season on loan at Cremonese, where he made 24 appearances and scored 11 goals. Sampdoria was subsequently relegated to Serie B, and Ijabadeni played three games for them in Serie A during the 2003-04 season. He spent the next two seasons on loan at Pescara and Cremonese.
Serie A with Ascoli and Pisa
In 2006, Ijabadeni signed with Ascoli, making five appearances in Serie A. The team was relegated to Serie B, and Ijabadeni moved to Pisa the following year. Pisa declared bankruptcy at the end of the season and was relegated to Serie D.
Move to Grosseto and International Career
In 2009, Ijabadeni joined Grosseto, making 38 appearances and scoring one goal in the 2009-2010 season. He also represented Cameroon at the Under-21 African Nations Cup in 2001 and the 2004 Olympic qualifiers, scoring a goal against DR Congo but failing to help his team qualify for the Olympics.
