Early Life and CareerMarcel Hossa is a Slovak professional ice hockey forward currently playing for Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Born in Ilava, Slovakia, Hossa began his professional career with MsHK Žilina in the Slovak Extraliga.

NHL Draft and New York Islanders Career
In 2006, Hossa was drafted 115th overall in the fourth round by the New York Islanders. He made his NHL debut in the 2009-10 season, appearing in 45 games and registering six goals and seven assists. On June 26, 2011, the Islanders signed Hossa to a one-year contract extension.
Return to Europe and KHL Debut
After spending several seasons in the Islanders organization, Hossa returned to Europe in 2016. On July 6, 2016, he signed a contract with Kunlun Red Star, a newly formed KHL club. Hossa has been a key player for Red Star, contributing both offensively and defensively.
