Biography of Tory Burch
Tory Burch is an American fashion designer, businesswoman, and philanthropist. She was born as Tory Robinson in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She grew up on her mother's farm with her three brothers. Her mother, Reva Robinson, was a former actress who had dated Steve McQueen and Marlon Brando. Her father, Buddy Robinson, was an investor with a passion for popular actresses like Joan Bennett and Grace Kelly. It is worth noting that Tory's mother was 14 years younger than Buddy.

Tory received her higher education at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing her studies, she moved to New York City and began her career in the fashion world. She collaborated with renowned designers such as Zoran, Ralph Lauren, and Vera Wang. In February 2004, Tory launched her own fashion label, which quickly gained incredible success. She received considerable publicity from Oprah Winfrey herself.

Tory Burch stores were located in major cities across the country, and her creations were sold in several large American retail chains. She received numerous fashion awards for her designs. In 2004, her store "TRB by Tory Burch" in the suburbs of Manhattan sold out almost all its inventory on the first day. Stories about Tory and her fashion line were constantly featured in newspapers and magazines. She even appeared on Oprah's show in April 2005.
From 1997 to 2006, Tory was married to Christopher Burch, an investor in the venture capital firm "Internet Capital Group." It was through her marriage to Christopher that she changed her last name. Tory had romantic relationships with Lance Armstrong, William Macklowe (son of real estate mogul Harry B. Macklowe), and Lyor Cohen.
Tory Burch's company produces caftans, sequined cardigans, tunics, children's swimwear, jewelry, handbags, and shoes. Her designs gained particular popularity among viewers and fans of the television series "Gossip Girl," as the characters often wore her clothing. In addition to looking fashionable, Tory Burch's clothing is known for being comfortable to wear.
Tory's label remains highly popular to this day. In 2007, there were long queues of customers eager to purchase her designs. In 2008, she was named Accessory Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, surpassing competitors like Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. She had previously received the "Best Accessories Launch of the Year" award from the Accessories Council of Excellence.
Currently, there are 26 Tory Burch boutiques in the United States and two outside the country. Her clothing is also sold in various major fashion retail chains. In 2008, Tory founded the Tory Burch Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to providing economic opportunities for women and their families.
