Typhoon, Rose, and Attack: Pre-Debut Era
Typhoon, Rose, and Attack first emerged in 2002 during the Battle of the Century between Hyojun and Kangta. Subsequently, the trio joined forces with X-mas to form a rock group. Prior to their official debut, they featured on BoA's song "Rock With You" in 2003.
2004-2007: Debut and "First Rain"
On July 20, 2004, TRAX debuted with their single "Paradox." They followed with a Japanese release, "Scorpio," and their second Japanese single, "Rhapsody," in 2005. In 2006, drummer Rose departed the group, leaving the remaining trio to release their debut album, "First Rain," in July. Shortly after, Attack also left the band, leaving Typhoon and X-mas as a duo.
2008-2010: "Cold-Hearted Man" and "Oh! My Goddess"
Typhoon and X-mas joined Super Junior members Heechul and Kangin as regulars on the TV series "Band of Brothers" in 2008. X-mas also participated in the show "Oppa Band" in 2009. As a project group, they released a digital single for the drama "Swallow the Sun."
In 2010, TRAX released their EP "Cold-Hearted Man" and EP "Oh! My Goddess." They also contributed the song "Tell Me Your Love" to the drama "Mary Stayed Out All Night."
2011-2012: "Blind" and Military Service
TRAX's third EP, "Blind," was released in 2011. In 2012, Typhoon and X-mas enlisted for their mandatory military service, putting the group on hiatus.
2015-19: Transformation into EDM Trio and Disbandment
Returning from their hiatus in 2015, TRAX released the digital single "Road" in 2017. In 2018, they underwent a transformation into an EDM trio, changing their name to TraxX and adding DJ and producer GINJO to the lineup. They released their first EDM single, "Notorious," and the English single "Escape."
However, on April 30, 2019, Typhoon and X-mas left SM Entertainment and TraxX was disbanded.
