Early Life and Career
Trifon Gruzin was born on February 15, 1912, in Moldova. He graduated from the Odessa Theater Technical Institute in 1933. That same year, he became a founding member and actor of the First State Moldavian Drama Theater (Tiraspol). This theater later evolved into the Moldavian Musical-Dramatic Theater named after A.S. Pushkin in 1939 and moved to Chisinau in 1940.
Recognition and Awards
Gruzin's exceptional talent was recognized with the prestigious title of People's Artist of the Moldavian SSR in 1962. He was also awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor for his contributions to the arts.
