Biography of Trinny Woodall

Early Life and Career

Trinny Woodall was born into a wealthy family and received a privileged education. Despite having a successful career in financial marketing for ten years, she couldn't shake her passion for fashion. However, she struggled to find her path in the industry and eventually turned to alcohol.

Meeting Susannah Constantine

In 1994, Trinny met Susannah Constantine, and their initial impressions of each other were far from positive. However, they overcame their differences and collaborated on a weekly style column called "Ready to Wear" for The Daily Telegraph.

Television and Fashion Projects

In 2001, Trinny and Susannah launched a daytime TV show called "Ready to Wear." Their no-nonsense approach and use of themselves as models to demonstrate how the same outfit could look different on varying figures made the show a success.

"What Not to Wear"

Trinny's breakthrough came with the BBC's "What Not to Wear," where she and Susannah helped participants overhaul their wardrobes. Trinny's sharp wit often brought participants to tears, but she never intended to harm or humiliate them. The show earned them a Royal Television Society Award and two BAFTA nominations.

"Trinny & Susannah Undress"

After leaving "What Not to Wear," Trinny and Susannah created "Trinny & Susannah Undress" on ITV. This time, they not only helped with wardrobe makeovers but also addressed participants' personal struggles and confidence issues.

Personal Life

In 1999, Trinny married musician and businessman Johnnie Elichaoff. In 2008, they announced their intention to divorce. Trinny has one daughter, Lyla, and is stepmother to her ex-husband's son, Zak.
