Zin'kivskyi was born in Ukraine and pursued his education at the Military-Legal Academy. This training laid the foundation for his later career in writing and public affairs.
Literary and Journalistic Work
Zin'kivskyi's literary career began with his translation of Mikhail Saltykov-Shchedrin's short story "The Hare." He also authored original novellas, short stories, and publicistic articles that explored rural and military life. His articles appeared in the journal "Pravda," where he wrote on topics such as Ukrainian national identity and the role of Taras Shevchenko in European literature.
Dramatic and Philosophical Works
Zin'kivskyi expanded his literary repertoire by writing dramatic plays such as "Sumlinne" (Conscience) and fables. His unfinished magnum opus, "Shtunda: A Ukrainian Rationalist Sect," delved into religious and philosophical themes.
Linguistic Research
Zin'kivskyi's interests extended beyond literature to linguistics. He embarked on an ambitious project to compile a grammar of the Ukrainian language, but this work remained incomplete and unpublished.
