Club Career

Tugay Kerimoğlu, a Turkish central midfielder, began his professional career in 1987 with Galatasaray. He spent 13 years with the club, becoming their youngest captain during the 1992/93 season. During his time at Galatasaray, Kerimoğlu led the team to six Turkish Super Lig titles and four Turkish Cups.

In 2000, he made a mid-season move to the Scottish club Rangers. A year later, he joined English club Blackburn Rovers, where he played until his retirement in 2009.

International Career

Kerimoğlu represented Turkey from 1990 to 2007, earning 94 caps and scoring 2 goals. He was a key member of the team that finished third at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
