Tyler Honeycutt's Early Life and College Career
American professional basketball player Tyler Honeycutt began his basketball journey at Sylmar High School in the San Fernando Valley, California. He later joined the UCLA Bruins basketball team in 2009, playing for them for two seasons.
NBA Draft and Time with the Sacramento Kings
In 2011, Honeycutt was drafted 35th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the NBA draft. He spent two seasons with the Kings, averaging 5 points, 1 rebound, and 0.4 steals per game in 24 appearances.
Success in Europe
In 2013, Honeycutt signed with Israeli team Ironi Nes Ziona. As a starter, he averaged impressive statistics of 15.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
Triumphs with Khimki and Anadolu Efes

On July 7, 2018, Tyler Honeycutt's life ended in tragedy. He barricaded himself in his Los Angeles home after a call from his mother regarding his erratic behavior. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were shot at by Honeycutt, forcing them to return fire. Police SWAT teams entered the house later to find Honeycutt deceased.

Honeycutt's former high school coach, Bort Escoto, stated that he "was a great kid... just a good kid" who struggled with some personal issues. Honeycutt's mother, Lisa Stacies, believes her son was killed by the police, claiming that he fired shots into the air in a moment of panic.
