Early Life and College Career

Tyrese Haliburton was born on February 24, 2000, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. His passion for basketball began at a young age, honing his skills on the court.

Freshman Year at Iowa State (2018-19)

Haliburton's college career kicked off with the Iowa State Cyclones in 2018. Making an immediate impact, he notched 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in his debut game against Alabama State. Throughout the season, he displayed his versatility, recording his first double-double (15 points, 17 assists) against Southern. Haliburton's exceptional play earned him recognition as one of only two true freshmen in NCAA Division I to accumulate over 50 steals and 30 blocks.

Sophomore Year at Iowa State (2019-20)

Haliburton continued to shine in his sophomore year, averaging 15.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. He earned a spot on the All-Big 12 Second Team and was named the conference's Player of the Week twice. Haliburton's season was unfortunately cut short due to a fractured left wrist, but his impressive performances had already caught the attention of NBA scouts.

NBA Career

Sacramento Kings (2020-2022)

Haliburton was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2020 NBA Draft. He made his NBA debut in December 2020, showcasing his playmaking ability with 12 points and 8 assists against the Portland Trail Blazers.

During the 2020-21 season, Haliburton earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team and finished third in Rookie of the Year voting. He impressed with his knack for distributing the ball, amassing a league-leading 4.9 assists-to-turnover ratio.

In his second season with the Kings, Haliburton continued to develop, recording career-highs in scoring (38 points), assists (17), and rebounds (13). His exceptional performance caught the attention of several contending teams.

Indiana Pacers (2022-Present)

In February 2022, Haliburton was traded to the Indiana Pacers, where he has quickly become a cornerstone of the team.
