Rise to Prominence
During his father's reign, House Lannister faced a decline. Tywin's ruthless suppression of the Reyne-Tarbeck rebellion displayed his efficiency and determination. Marrying his cousin, Joanna Lannister, he fathered twins Cersei and Jaime. Tyrion, their third child, was born at the cost of Joanna's life, leading Tywin to resent his youngest son.
Relationship with his Children
Tywin's relationships with his children were complex. While he valued their status and reputation, his efforts to secure their well-being often clashed with their desires. Despite his shortcomings, his children respected and often sought his wisdom.
Hand of the Mad King Aerys
