Biography of Uno Svenningsson
Uno Svenningsson is a Swedish pop singer and guitarist who has been actively performing since the late 1970s. He first tasted fame as a member of the group 'Freda', which later disbanded. However, Uno did not give up on music and by the time the band reunited, he had become a successful solo artist in his own right.

Uno was born in Hagelstorp, Sweden. Shortly after starting his musical career, he joined the pop group 'Freda'. The band had several hits, including 'Vindarna' and 'Det gör mig så lycklig'. 'Freda' existed from 1982 to 1993 and reunited in 2009.

In 1994, Svenningsson began his solo career and achieved considerable success. His first four solo albums sold around 300,000 copies each. In 1999, Svenningsson collaborated on a single with popular Swedish rapper Ken Kiprono Ring called 'Mother'.

In 2002, Svenningsson's song 'Vågorna' was featured in a series of commercials for the Danish lager 'Pripps Blå' by 'Carlsberg'. The song 'Under ytan' was a success not only in Sweden but also in Finland and Denmark.

The song 'Aina Yksin' was later covered by Anna Eriksson and included on her album 'Kaikista kasvoista'. Both albums achieved gold status, selling 15,000 copies in Finland alone. Danish artist Søs Fenger also released her version of Uno's composition 'Inderst inde' and later collaborated with a Danish rapper named USOs on the same song.
In 2007, Uno Svenningsson and Irma Schultz Keller performed together at the Swedish 'Melodifestivalen', a national music competition organized by SVT and SR to determine Sweden's representative for Eurovision. Unfortunately, they did not advance past the semifinals and were eliminated in the 'second chance' round.
In 2009, 'Freda' announced their reunion with Arne Johansson, Mats Johansson, and Uno Svenningsson. The band has continued to exist to this day, releasing the album 'Ett mysterium' in January 2010 and going on a small tour. In 2010, they also released two singles, 'Gå aldrig ensam' and 'Det måste gå'.
In 2010, Uno recorded 'Jorden har sin egen sång' with producer Erik Svensson from 'Side Lake Productions'. The song gained attention through its association with the environmental project of the bus company 'Ybuss'.
In 2011, Svenningsson collaborated with rapper Frispråkarn, and their joint efforts resulted in the release of the single 'Storebror' in 2012. The song's title, 'Big Brother', was not chosen by chance, as the idea for the song came to Uno's partner following the death of his older brother. In the summer of 2012, Svenningsson and Frispråkarn performed the song on the Swedish TV show 'Sommarkrysset'.
Uno Svenningsson currently lives in Stenungsund, Sweden, with his wife and two sons.
