Biography of Vader

American wrestler Leon "Vader" White is a ruthless wrestler who brought chaos to the world of wrestling. Vader is rightfully considered the best super heavyweight in the world, excelling in his agility and speed in addition to his size. Early Career

In 1985, after playing football for the Los Angeles Rams for five years, and training as a sparring partner for former WBA heavyweight champion Mike Weaver, Leon became a wrestler. He was trained by Brad Rheingans and made his debut in the American Wrestling Association (AWA) in 1986 under the name "Baby Bull," which was soon changed to "Bull Power."

Rise to Fame in Japan

In 1987, New Japan offered Vader a place in their promotion. They knew exactly what they wanted from him and gave him a new persona and name. Leon became "Big Van Vader" and wore a mask, although it was different from the one he is known for. Big Van Vader quickly became famous in Japan, and his battles with Japanese wrestling legends such as Tatsumi Fujinami and Riki Choshu for the IWPG heavyweight championship in 1988 gained him respect from both the press and fans.

World Champion

On April 24, 1989, Vader won the IWPG heavyweight championship tournament. He defeated Masa Chono in the first round and Tatsuo Fujinami in the semifinals before facing Shinya Hashimoto in the final. After a fantastic match, Vader emerged as the winner and the new IWPG champion. He became the first wrestler to hold three world titles from three different continents simultaneously when he won the UWA heavyweight championship in Mexico.

WCW and Later Career

Vader then joined NWA/WCW in the United States and made his debut at The Great American Bash in 1990. He had a memorable feud with Sting and won the WCW heavyweight championship three times. Vader also had successful stints in Japan, Germany, and other promotions. He continued to wrestle in various organizations until his retirement.
