Early Life and Career

Vadim Viktorovych Deona was born on May 10, 1979, in Zaporizhia, Ukrainian SSR. He began his football training at the age of six with the youth academy of FC Chornomorets Odessa, under coaches O. Galitsky and V. Feydman-Sidnev. He also trained at the Republican School of Physical Culture and Sports in Kiev.

Club Career

Ukrainian and Russian Clubs

Deona played for numerous Ukrainian clubs throughout his career, including Chornomorets Odessa, FC Prykarpattya Ivano-Frankivsk, FC Mykolaiv, FC Stal Dniprodzerzhynsk, FC Borysfen Boryspil, FC Tavriya Simferopol, FC Metalurh Lipetsk, FC Torpedo-ZIL Moscow, FC Arsenal Tula, and FC Kristall Smolensk.

Kazakhstan Career

After leaving Tavriya Simferopol in 2010, Deona briefly went on trial with FC Volyn Lutsk before signing a contract with FC Illichivets Mariupol. He served as backup goalkeeper to Vsevolod Romanenko, making only two appearances for the club in the Ukrainian Cup and youth league.

Return to Ukraine and Belarus

Deona left Illichivets in December 2010 and went on trial with FC Obolon Kyiv in February 2011. Later that summer, he joined Brest Dynamo in Belarus. In 2012, he had a trial with FC Oleksandriya before eventually signing a contract with the club.
