Veil Bloom Biography
Veil Bloom is an American actress best known for her role as Heather Stevens, a passionate young lawyer and the daughter of private detective Paul Williams, in the soap opera "The Young and the Restless." She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Connecticut and Florida. Veil is a Scorpio, as she was born on November 13, although her birth year is unknown. In 2004, she graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor's degree in architecture, suggesting that she may have been born in 1983.

Acting Career Beginnings
Veil became interested in acting after being asked by a classmate to star in his short film while attending Princeton. She also performed with an innovative theater troupe called "diSiac" and appeared in student film projects while in college. In 2003, she was ranked 3rd in Maxim magazine's list of "hottest hometown hotties." Before joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless," Veil had modest experience in the film industry. She made her debut in 2006 with an unnamed episodic role in the TV series "Las Vegas" and then had a small role as Cassie, a casting assistant in the comedy film "Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee" in 2007. While working on "The Young and the Restless," she also appeared in the online series "Angel of Death" (2009) and TV shows "Entourage" and "Cold Case."
Recent Projects and Recognition
Veil is currently preparing for the release of two films: the thriller "The Somnambulist" and the comedy "Life at the Resort." In 2008, she received a nomination for her role in "The Young and the Restless" at the Daytime Emmy Awards. In 2009, she was moved from the main cast to a supporting role and chose to leave the series in early 2010. She was replaced by Emmy winner Eden Riegel in July 2010. Despite her young age, Veil devotes her free time to teaching courses to high school students, joking that her passion for mentoring runs in her blood, as she is the daughter of a school administrator and university professor.
