The Birth of a Creative Force: VACCINE

On June 1, 2003, the world of music was forever altered with the formation of VACCINE, a band known for its poetic lyrics, melodic sensibilities, and energetic rhythms. The founding lineup consisted of Pavel Vlasov (Pontik) on vocals, guitar, and lyrics; Pavel Khoroshavhin (Kotly) on bass guitar; Ekaterina Mukhina on keyboards; and Ilya Alekseev (Ilyich) on drums and percussion.

A Catalyst of Inspiration

Fate intervened when Max (the band's manager) and Ilya-Ilyich, a seasoned drummer with previous experience in "Narodnoe Opolechenie" and "Porno," encountered Ekaterina Mukhina at the legendary club "Griboyedov." Mukhina, a Conservatory student, was immediately captivated by the band's raw potential.

Joining Forces: A Chance Encounter

A year prior to their fateful meeting at "Griboyedov," Pavel-Pontik had met Pavel-Kotly in the town of Otradnoye. Despite being a self-proclaimed "hooligan," Kotly expressed a desire to join Pontik's band if it ever materialized.

A Band Emerges

On that fateful day, June 1, the band took their first steps, jamming and preparing for their inaugural performance at the "Manhattan" club. They then embarked on recording their debut maxi-single at "DDT-Records," capturing four tracks that showcased their diverse musicality.

Recognition on the Rise

In 2004, VACCINE's song "Mir Tesnen" was featured on the compilation "Okhota-11," gaining them wider recognition. The single "Podokonnik" further propelled them into the spotlight, reaching listeners nationwide on "Russian Radio's" "Neformat" program.

Expansion and Evolution

Later that year, the band parted ways with guitarist Dmitry Anikhin, welcoming Vladimir Dolgov from "Poimannye Muraveedy" into their ranks. This addition brought about a shift in arrangements and musical direction, leading them into the recording of their debut album at "NEVA" studios.

A Legacy in the Making

To this day, VACCINE continues to spread their musical "vaccine" through clubs in St. Petersburg and Moscow, while eagerly anticipating the upcoming release of their debut album, poised to become a revelation in the music industry.
