Early Life and Education
Valdis Zanders was born in Soviet Latvia and graduated from the acting department of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian State Conservatory's theater faculty in 1953. He also attended the Latvian Agricultural Academy.
Theatrical Career
Zanders embarked on his acting career as a member of the Liepāja Dramatic Theater in 1950. His stage work continued to flourish throughout his life.
Film Debut
Zanders made his film debut in 1956 with the movie "Behind the Swans' Flight of Clouds." He went on to star in numerous films and television series.
