Biography of Valeri Bojinov

Valeri Bojinov is a Bulgarian professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for the club "Meizhou Hakka". He was born in Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria.

Early Life

At the age of 12, Bojinov moved to Malta with his mother Peppa, who played basketball for the Bulgarian national team, and stepfather Sasha Angelov, who represented the Bulgarian national football team in the 1990s.

Personal Life

Bojinov is currently married to Bulgarian model Nikoleta Bojinova (Lozanova), and they have a daughter named Nicole, born on April 1, 2012. He also has a son named Valeri from a previous marriage.

Football Career

Bojinov made his debut for the Italian club "Lecce" on January 27, 2002, at the age of 15, becoming the youngest non-Italian player in the team. He trained under the guidance of coach Zdenek Zeman. At the age of 20, he was bought by Italian club "Fiorentina" for 13 million euros.

In July 2006, Bojinov moved to "Juventus" as part of a deal that involved Adrian Mutu joining "Fiorentina". However, during the 2006/2007 season, he was loaned back to "Fiorentina" and later sold to "Manchester City" for 4.1 million pounds.

In September 2007, Bojinov suffered a serious injury that sidelined him for 4 months. On July 4, 2010, "Parma" acquired Bojinov's transfer for 5 million pounds.

On July 6, 2011, he signed a 5-year contract with Portuguese club "Sporting" (Lisbon). On January 30, 2012, Bojinov joined "Lecce" on loan until the end of the 2011/2012 season.
