Biography of Valeriy Bessarab
Valeriy Bessarab is a renowned Ukrainian actor and was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine in 1987. He completed his studies at the Kiev State Institute of Theatrical Arts named after I. Karpenko-Karyi in 1965. Since 1966, he has been a member of the Kiev Russian Drama Theater named after Lesya Ukrainka.
Acting Career
Valeriy Bessarab began his acting career in 1961, appearing in various films. He spent many years working at the Dovzhenko Film Studios. His debut role was as the young engineer Sergey in the production film "Happy Birthday," directed by Mechyislava Maevska and Alexey Maslyukov. He went on to portray memorable characters such as Senkin in "Hello, Hnat," Solodkov in "Elena's Bay," Sasha Tarasenko in "Prisoners of Bomona," Tkachuk in "Every Evening After Work," and his most notable role as Lieutenant Ivan Kirillov in the lyrical comedy "Keys to the Sky," directed by Victor Ivanov.
